Cloudflare Announces WebMCP Support for Kitesurf Browser
Cloudflare has updated its Kitesurf browser, designed for the agentic age, to support WebMCP, enhancing its capabilities for programmatic web interactions.
In August, Cloudflare introduced Kitesurf, a browser built specifically for the agentic age, running entirely on Cloudflare Workers. Since then, the company has been refining Kitesurf based on internal and external feedback, making it more capable and efficient.
Today, Cloudflare announces the addition of WebMCP support to Kitesurf. WebMCP allows developers to expose site functionality directly to agents, enabling them to call functions like searchFlights() instead of simulating clicks. This update makes Kitesurf more robust and efficient for programmatic web interactions.
To demonstrate the capabilities of WebMCP in Kitesurf, users can visit the public Kitesurf playground and navigate to WebMCP on the Application tab in the DevTools panel of Cloudflare Radar. This allows clients to interact with the page and explore Radar programmatically.
