Apple Unveils Major Software Updates with Siri AI and Enhanced Parental Controls

Apple has announced major updates for its software platforms, rolling out across iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, visionOS 27, and tvOS 27. The updates include Siri AI, a more intelligent, knowledgeable, and capable version of Siri, designed to make everyday apps smarter and more useful. Additionally, the updates bring powerful and intuitive new features to help parents create safer, more enriching digital experiences for kids.

Siri AI begins rolling out as a beta in English, with support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish coming in October. In the EU, Mac and Apple Vision Pro users will have access to Siri AI when set to a supported language, but it will not be available initially in iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS.

The updates also introduce an expansive set of improvements that make Apple products more responsive, delightful, and easier to use. New features include custom EQ for AirPods users, an enhanced Flyover experience in Apple Maps, and new Smart Stack widget suggestions on Apple Watch, which can be opened with a single-handed tap gesture. Apple Vision Pro users can now turn panoramas into spatial scenes with rich depth and use them as a personal Environment.
