The Quest 4 remains the only headset most people should consider, and the reason is arithmetic rather than technology: it is a fraction of Vision Pro's price and the content library is the only one with enough in it to justify the purchase. Passthrough has improved to the point where mixed-reality applications are usable rather than demonstrable, which was the main thing holding the previous generation back. What has not moved is the ergonomic reality — roughly two hours of battery, and a stock head strap that most buyers replace within a month, so budget for that as part of the price. The other consideration is not technical: this is a Meta device with Meta's account requirements and Meta's data posture, worn on your face in your home. If that troubles you, no feature list resolves it.
